The book “Irmãos Campana: 35 Revoluções” is published to accompany Fernando and Humberto Campana’s retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro (MAM RIO), “Irmãos Campana: 35 Revoluções” (March 14, 2020 – January 10, 2021). Curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti and inaugurated in March 2020, the retrospective exhibition traces the creative duo’s past 35 years of trajectory. Bringing together new projects and installations, the site-specific exhibition displays a wide selection of design pieces and sculptures developed over the past decades. The book not only celebrates the longevity of the duo but also invites curators, journalists, gallery owners, and artists to contribute with essays and reflections on the trajectory of the brothers and their role on the world stage in the field of design and contemporary art.
The book includes texts and interviews by Francesca Alfano Miglietti and collaborations by Adriana Calcanhotto, Anne-France Berthelon, Cristina Morozzi, Damiano Gullì, Emanuela Nobile Mino, Maria Cristina Didero, Mateo Kries, Stefano Boeri, among others, and exclusive photographs by Bob Wolfenson.
