For the 2024 edition of Design Miami.Basel, Friedman Benda is pleased to present a group installation, exploring sculptural impulses in contemporary design. We examine idiosyncratic formal languages, material choices, and distinct processes by eight leading studios.
Participating artists include: Ini Archibong, Wendell Castle, Enrico Marone Cinzano, Carmen D’Apollonio, Misha Kahn, Samuel Ross, Ettore Sottsass, and Barbora Žilinskaitė.
For Design Miami/ Basel’s special tribute foyer to Gaetano Pesce (1939-2024), Friedman Benda will present two key historic works from the early 1970s, a rare Arca Desk and a unique version of the iconic Moloch floor lamp.
