As museums around the world struggle to reopen, the MAXXI architecture museum in Rome has launched the innovative Casa Mondo exhibition on Instagram. @maxxicasamondo is the museum’s first digital exhibition and may even be the first of its kind to draw on archival material, feature a fully designed digital exhibition space by Formafantasma, and commission new digital content by seven internationally renowned designers including the Campana Brothers, Konstantin Grcic, and Patricia Urquiola. In this conversation with Stephen Burks, Domitilla Dardi, one of the exhibition’s curators, discussed its formation, execution, and success at “home-delivered culture” during the global pandemic.
