Conceived as a project exploring design as social practice, Deem‘s first issue, Designing For Dignity, reads like a manifesto on the future through the lenses of empathy, collective consciousness, and collaboration. Stephen Burks was in dialogue with two of Deem Journal’s three founders, Marquise Stillwell and Nu Goteh, to better understand their ambitious goals: to share design practices with the world that are part of the social revolution happening all around us.
